CeBIT Australia 2013 was opened yesterday by NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell, who said what a great boost to NSW economy the conference is, with 60% of Australia’s IT industry based in Sydney. The event takes place in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre  for three days till May 30th.

CeBIT Australia is part of the Worldwide CeBIT events family, the world’s leading events in Information and Communications Technology, covering all major markets of the world. Covering the entire spectrum of information technology, telecommunications, software and services in the one location, CeBIT is the major event on the ICT calendar in Europe, Eurasia and Australia.

This year there are 500 exhibits, 60 seminars, and 35,000 expected attendees. “That makes it Australia’s largest business event,” says CeBIT’s Jackie Taranto.
