Windows Live Messenger is retiring on 8 April 2013

Windows Live Messenger, previously known as MSN Messenger was renamed as part of Microsoft’s move away from Hotmail, towards the Live online community. However, the famous IM app will be closing up on 8 April 2013. Users could still continue to send instant messages and chat with friends using Skype with imported contacts from Windows Live Messenger. Learn about the migration of MSN to Skype.

Many of us have shared lots of memories with Messenger, whether it was for chatting with friends and family members, flirting with a significant boyfriend/girlfriend, discussing homework, for sharing pictures, files and others. All of these will soon be part of the history and the new chapter will be begun in Skype.
