Last week, Samsung Malaysia launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet which is built specifically for kids with the educational tools and safety features parents want.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids sports a 7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1024 x 600. It also features a 1.2GHz dual processor, 1GB RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera and 1.3 megapixel rear-facing camera. The tablet offers a child-friendly user interface that is simple and easy for kids to operate. Card-style applications are big and colourful to grab the child’s attention and it’s easy for them to select items. In addition, only necessary apps are pre-installed in Kids Mode.
In Kids Mode, only the swipe and touch functions are activated, thus even the youngest kids are able to enjoy the device easily. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids comes pre-loaded with top-ranked apps for children, including Samsung’s brand new Kid’s Store aimed at driving the educational possibilities of technology for kids. Pre-loaded content include educational, games, entertainment and e-book apps.
Parental control features are also built into the tablet. Parents will have full control over the apps their children can use in addition to the time and duration of access. Underneath it all, the GALAXY Tab 3 Kids can still function as a standard tablet in normal mode.
The connectivity of GALAXY Tab 3 Kids features Wi-Fi only, comes in yellow, and is bundled with a kids-friendly case that adds durability, a grip, and a stand. The case also comes with a new easy-to-grip basic stylus called the C Pen.
