Oppo N1 phablet comes with 13MP Swiveling Camera

Oppo, the Chinese manufacturer has announced a new 5.9-inch phablet dubbed Oppo N1 with an innovative 13MP swiveling camera.

The N1 boasts a 5.9-inch display with 1080p Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), 377 PPI. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 3610mAh battery. Internal storage options include 16GB and 32GB, expandable by microSD. The N1 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, skinned with Oppo’s new ColourOS operating system – which includes a live weather theme that interacts with your app icons. The N1 will also let you switch over to CyanogenMod should you prefer.

The N1 is different thanks to its 13MP swiveling camera with the N1’s f/2.0 snapper, which rotates through 206 degrees and packs a dual-mode LED flash that adjusts depending on which way the camera’s facing. You can also set the exposure time manually, up to eight seconds.

Round the back of its aluminium frame, the N1 features an O-Touch panel – a 12cm square PS Vita-style trackpad that can be used to scroll through web pages, open apps and take photos. The Oppo N1 will hit Oppo Style and other outlets in the US and Europe on 10 December, priced at US$600 in the US and €450 (£370) in Europe.Read more:
