Kyocera Hydro~Waterproof Smartphone
Water and cellphones don’t mix, but what if you have a Kyocera Hydro phone?
Kyocera Hydro is the first IPX5- and IPX7-level Waterproof Android Smartphone launched by Boost Mobile. It is built with innovative technology to withstand sprayed water like rain (IPX5) or even being submerged in three feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes (IPX7). This helps users to eliminate worries on the irreversible water damage.
It is also the first (along with the Kyocera Rise) to come with “Tissue Conduction” technology which is designed to deliver sound vibrations directly to the eardrum. It’s a technology that was originally used in hearing aids but which Kyocera hopes will translate well to mobile phones. It uses a specially designed Kyocera ceramic transducer to transmit sound through air as sound waves and tissue as vibrations. It’ll definitely help to overcome ambient noise for people who have difficulty hearing their cell phones.
